Carlo Lorusso
Carlo has more than 20 years of experience in legal and tax consultancy, aimed at private clients and multinational corporations.
Before moving to Brazil, he worked for top international consulting firms (Big 4s) and important law firms in Italy, Holland, Luxembourg and Switzerland, with a focus on international tax planning and transfer pricing.
During his professional career, Carlo acquired a great knowledge of foreign tax systems and built an efficient network of relationships for the conduct of complex international projects, which require the coordination of professionals from different jurisdictions.
Carlo holds a law degree from the prestigious University of Bari, in Italy, where he later pursued a master’s degree in Italian tax law. In 2006, he obtained his LLM in international tax law at the University of Leiden in the Netherlands. In 2014 he moved to Brazil, where he specialized in Brazilian tax law at the Brazilian Institute of Tax Law (IBDT) and studied in a specialization course in finance at INSPER.
Carlo is a member of the Italian Bar Association, of the Brazilian Bar Association and IBDT. He was a lecturer in transfer pricing and international tax law courses at the Tax Studies Center (SUPSI) in Lugano, Switzerland, at the University of Bari and at the IPSOA training school in Rome and Milan. In Brazil, he lectured at the University Presbyterian Mackenzie. Carlo published several articles in national and international specialized magazines, regarding taxation of private clients and international tax law.
